Where art thou 'Adam'?

I am a big K-drama/J-drama fan and can watch episodes non stop for the whole day..yes it sounds crazy..it’s one of my eccentricities you might say… :P

Nur Kasih was the first Malay drama I truly followed. I don’t know whether it was because I miss home or it was because the issues highlighted in the drama were issues I was going through in my life at the same time or it was plainly a good drama.

No matter what the reason was I was impressed with the acting in Nur Kasih especially Remy Ishak –who played Adam. His character had its flaws but I loved how his character chose to change for the better and the trials and tribulations he went through to be on the right path. It was similar to what I am currently going through.

When I told my friends about it, they found it quite entertaining since I’m not usually one to be in awe of Malay actors but I could really associate with the ‘Adam’ character..how I wish there was a version of him in real life…... Insya-allah…by doing the right actions and intentions my wish will come true….

Where art thou Adam? Hope I find you soon…..

There is always hope....

I missed Banksy's art exhibition which just ended a few weeks ago..so checked out his online photo gallery on his website www.banksy.co.uk...and I found the location in which one of the prints I got was originally taken from...love it...

Some people might view him as someone who vandalises property but I think he's a genius...
Each of his artwork has a meaning either political or just life in general...

I prefer his kind of art than some of the other modern art which we see in galleries today....

If u're out there Banksy...keep up the work..look forward to stumbling upon your work around the streets of London soon...

Lyric of the week

"You change your mind like a girl changes clothes
Yeah you, PMS like a b***** I would know
And you always think, always speak cryptically
I should know that your no good for me

Cause' you're hot then you're cold
You're yes then you're no
You're in then you're out
You're up and you're down
You're wrong when it's right "

Missed Opportunity..Perhaps?

This current entry will be "Missed Opportunity..perhaps?"

I don't usually talk about my past relationships hence this entry will be vague... but those who know me well enough will know what I'm writing about. This blog helps me put down my thoughts and put things into perspective. When it comes to relationships some people say I'm choosy or too cautious-perhaps I am but when I was carefree I only ended up getting hurt..
To me relationships isn't something to be taken lightly. I'm not into having one night stands or short flings.

Coming back to the title of this entry:
When I went back home in June, I met HIM for the first time. I've been hearing a lot about HIM in the last year and I wasn't too sure whether he would be my type. I was pleasantly surprised..proper gentleman with a sense of adventure although a bit of a mummy's boy kot.

Nevertheless , I thought not bad...I believe the way someone treats their mother is reflective on how he will treat his wife..insya-allah.
What I would probably wanted to find out more would be whether he is a good Muslim-even someone with a good character kalau tak practice then I'm not interested. But all that takes time which I do not have considering how far apart we were...
We had a lot in common but in the conversation I found out he was seeing someone already. Missed opportunity..damn! Even if I wanted to keep in touch with him distance between Malaysia and London is too long...

When I went back again for puasa, I met HIM again and I met the girlfriend-I was a bit taken aback-she was SO similar to me it was surreal.
I acted cool as I always do and secretly I didn't want to like her but we actually got on. I wondered if I had come back home to settle down earlier that could've been me with HIM instead of her? I don't know whether we would've got together but there could have been a chance..
Jodoh itu Allah yang tentukan...

There are a lot of things I've enjoyed being in London but sometimes I feel like my relationships have suffered because I've been here too long. I know people say you don't know where your jodoh will be but I think it is very unlikely I will find it here.

Perhaps another opportunity will come...I hope so 2010...

Is there some truth in this perhaps.......

I wonder whether there's any truth in this ...hmmmm..

You Are Occasionally a Jerk Magnet

You've been known to attract real jerky guys from time to time...
But the truth is, you know what you're getting into. You can help but love bad boys.

Infatuation or love?

I'm not sure whether any of you can relate to the following but do you remember your first crush on someone in school or someone famous you saw on TV?

Well, I am embarassed to admit it but I was one of those girls. My first crush was the boy band group New Kids on The Block (NKOTB) . I cringe at the thought now I was one those girls that drooled over them..hehehe I think the one I liked was Joey. I was only 8??!!!

The other boy band group was Take That ..although I was not as obsessed about them as some of my schoolfriends at the time. Just in case you were wondering No I didn't cry when they split up!!! But I did collect those stupid cards and even started a swapping collection with my schoolfriends...pretty lame right??!! hehehe Oh dear....

Then there were a few high school crushes on the senior guys in school which were all harmless fun to keep us all entertained during the lunch hours in school.

But then came college, uni and work life where things start to get complicated and there were periods of happiness as well as heartbreaks. I guess it is all part and parcel of life.

This brings me to my question.. How do you know when you are in love? How do you know whether it is true love or merely that you are infatuated by that person -temporary crush?

When you have a crush on someone, you are always trying to get that person's attention in the hope the feelings are mutual.
When you have that feeling of butterflies in your stomach after seeing that person can you call it true love or maybe your heart is playing tricks on you??

I think people's worst fear is the fear of rejection. It could go both ways..He can either reject you or respond back in a positive way. I guess everyone likes feeling wanted and appreciated by someone.

If things do go well, how do you maintain that loving feeling between both of you? What if he merely liked the "thrills" of chasing you in order to go out with you but that thrill goes away after you guys go out?

hmmm...I was hoping by writing this post it would make things clearer and I would be able to get some answers but I've ended up coming up with more questions than answers....

Aku Bukan Untukmu

Dahulu kau mencintaiku
Dahulu kau menginginkanku
Meskipun takkan ada jawabku

Tak berniat kau tinggalkan aku
Sekarang kau pergi menjauh
Sekarang kau tinggalkan aku
Disaat ku mulai mengharapkanmu
Dan ku mohon maafkan aku

Aku menyesal t'lah membuatmu menangis
Dan biarkan memilih yang lain
Tapi jangan pernah kau dustai takdirmu
Pasti itu terbaik untukmu
Janganlah lagi kau mengingatku kembali
Aku bukanlah untukmu
Meski ku memohon dan meminta hatimu
Jangan pernah tinggalkan dirinya untuk diriku

Soulmates...do they really exist?

People my age are starting to think about the future and settling down...some of us have been lucky in finding " the one ". But what about those of us who are not so lucky because of relationships which didn't work out?? This reminds me of an episode in Friends when Phoebe talks about finding your "lobster" whereby each lobster has a soulmate.

Is there really such a thing as finding your soulmate?? What if we think we found our soulmate but things didn't work out ...will we ever find another soulmate??

Nowadays, there are increasingly higher rates of marriages failing...I guess there are no guarantees. A happy marriage is not something that happens automatically, it is something which both people in the marriage have to work at to make it work.

I hope that when I settle down that person is firstly a good Muslim, caring, kind, funny and someone that I see myself growing old with..... Will we ever find our "lobster"???

Ode to a stranger

My life is brilliant.
My love is pure.
I saw an angel.
Of that I'm sure.
He smiled at me on the train.
But I ain't got a plan.
You're so handsome.
You're so handsome
You're so handsome it's true.
I saw your face in a crowded place
And I don't know what to do,
'Cause I'll never be with you.
Yeah, he caught my eye,As we walked on by.
He could see from my face that I was, flying high,
And I don't think that I'll see him again,
But we shared a moment that will last till the end.
There must be an angel
When she thought up that I should be with you.
But it's time to face the truth,I will never be with you
